Declaration to Mr. Gordon Ladson

May the best day of your past, be the worst day of your future!

November 21, 2023

My Declaration to:

Mr. Gordon Ladson Et Al.,

My Promises;

Before Glenda died, I promised God, Glenda, and Christian (in that order) that I would spend my life making sure Christian’s life is MUCH BETTER.  I also promised Glenda that I would bring Christian home to 9 Magnolia Ave Charleston S.C 29403.  Before his communication tanked, Glenda said Christian often asked when they were going home.  To honor her wishes, Christian’s wishes, and to that end, I vow to tell their story until the whole world knows.  Her story will haunt me until I die.

What would have happened;

I could’ve had Glenda and Christian home by Christmas if everything fell in line contractor wise.  I’ve Project managed; framers, roofers, siding crews, window crews, and plumbing, electrical, and mechanical subcontractors for years.  9 Magnolia Ave. isn’t anything new to me … it’s just knowing the why and executing a good plan.  Had Glenda not passed, there would have been a table here for any family member.  I’ve said that before.  I would have tried my best to mend fences between you all.  There also would have been ALL the paperwork for a trust in Christian’s name with 9 Magnolia Ave. in its portfolio.  When I died, the house would have gone back to the Holmes family, if not sooner!  I only swore to take care of Christian for the rest of his life.  Only God knows when our time has come.

I just want to know;

#1:     Who is taking care of Christian?  He requires a lot! I think there needs to be at least 2 people in the house or Gordon and a caregiver that stops by and helps while Gordon runs errands.  Christian needs someone that moves him, figures out his hearing aid situation, figures out his nutrition needs and has the ability and knowledge to make that happen 2-3 times a day.  Someone that rocks him in a chair, puts him in a swing, or takes him on a car ride so he can feel the wind on his face and smell the salt air … someone who can take him swimming.  He loved being in the water at camp.  We floated on innertubes and talked while I held an umbrella.  I miss that.

#2:     Who’s going to fix the house?  The first time I talked to Mr. Gordon Ladson after Glenda died, he told me I needed “to go so he could have people come in and fix the place.”  If you don’t want my free labor, appliances, and materials, or any of the deals I have in the works with other contractors for improvements, then who’s going to fund and do this work?  Was that true?  My neighbor, Mr. Brown, said Mr. Gordon Ladson said the same thing to him the day we met at 11:00am on November 14th, 2023, at 9 Magnolia Avenue.  Will Christian live with you here?  Will you accept my help? Do you want to take care of Christian for the rest of your life? If you intend on only seeing that Christian is cared for, would you consent to me raising the money for and purchasing 9 Magnolia Avenue in its current condition and making sure Christian has the best care teams of good people can make happen? I never thought it would be hard to raise money for this. I didn’t try sooner because I was focused on cleaning and repairing the house with the money I have. If that did happen btw, Christian living here with round the clock care givers, I’d still gift the house to you or the Holmes family or whoever wants it when Christian passes … if you’re ALL wondering … If I fix this place up; it’ll be designed for his specific needs. I have SOOO many ideas already!

My Pledge;

Talk to me Gordon. Put this stuff in writing. Let me talk to the people from S.C. helping you take care of Christian (his social workers, et al.). Give me permission to receive updates from them. I’ll leave way before any civil officer tells me to in public … after y’all waste money on Probate Court, servers, lawyers, and our civil servant’s time.  I’ll still make sure Christian has this $10k+ Sleep Number I-8 adjustable frame split king mattress set to sleep on … with a new set of sheets I wasn’t going to put on till the day they moved in.  I’d even deliver it and set it up in Christians room after I’ve moved everything else out.

It’s all that or y’all can continue to treat me like garbage.

The ball is in your court sir …

As I’ve said repeatedly, I’m no one’s enemy. I was called by God to care. No living soul can impede that calling.
